FlowJo diagnostics was introduced in 10.0.6 release, for windows only, intended to make information gathering in troubleshooting easier for both the user and tech support. It scans your system for FJ installations and artifacts and gives you an interface to access all of it easily. In a recent beta I also added basic benchmarking (far right column.)
- By default the shorcut is placed in Start / Program Files in the same folder where FLowJo Vx shortcut is created. The scope is 10.0.6 and newer versions, older builds will not work.
- Starting the diagnostic will first probe every FJ installation, try to start it, collect information.
- Shows what Java is being used to run FlowJo
- DRAGABLE & CLICKABLE prefs button handles double-click (opens prefs file in notepad), drag-away (copies prefs file to where you drag it), and drag-to (drag file from explorer to here to copy it to where FJ needs it.)
- CLICKABLE left-most column ("Path") shows where flowjo was found during the initial scan. Click on one of the paths to open it in Explorer.
- CLICKABLE colum "Run" will launch flowjo if you click the button (artwork in progress..)
- CLICKABLE columns err/lax file will show error log (if any) and the lax file in notepad
- CLICKABLE column benchmark will run a basic benchmark which adds a 18 MB FCS File duplicated 250 times into an analysis and generates a PDF report. Time is reported in seconds.
